need to know what i have? worth?
I own a 1972 chevy c20 suburban 3/4 ton. I pulled rearend and wanting to sell. I dont know the gear ratio. What I do know is it's a 10 bolt. Big gear has 41 teeth. Cant see other gear without opening the rest. No stamps on gear. How do I identify it? Please help a newbie!!

More than likely 4.57
The axle is an Eaton Corp H052 |
Re: need to know what i have? worth?
How do I make sure.? I read that if it had 41 teeth and the small gear had 10 teeth it's a 4:10. Any markings so I can be sure?

Spin the shaft yolk. Count the revolutions of the shaft to one revolution of the wheel. That is the gear ratio. For accuracy, count the revolutions of the shaft to get 10 revolutions of the wheel and then devide by 10.
