67-72 seat question

1 Attachment(s)
I picked up this seat and unlike the seat that was in my 70, this one doesn't have a hinged seat back. Is it a 67-72 seat (would you think)? They said it came out of a 67-72 but they sold the truck it was destined for. I haven't tried to match up the seat tracks yet, i need to unbolt them off the original. This seat was too good of a deal to pass up.

It was $150 delivered to my shop, i couldn't resist. Its 99.8% PERFECT. One tiny lil flaw that you cant barely see.
Thanks for the reply!

Re: 67-72 seat question

I think 67 was the only year that the seat back moved if I'm correct.

I think the seat backs on 67-72 will flip forward but there is a bolt on either side you have to remove first. I could be wrong though. I'm still trying to figure the one out in my 72. I guess i am just going to have to pull it out and see exactly how it works. Maybe someone on here has a seat already out that they can get a pic of the bottom side? Joseph

Your seat could be made to lean foward, but it was never intended to. You would have to remove the material at both ends and remove the bolts. If you do this not only will you mess up the ends of you seat cover, but the seat will not have anything to LOCK it back in the normal position.

Re: 67-72 seat question

i guess i will leave it as it is, just get the interior done, and put the stereo stuff behind the seat and forget about it, if i need access its only 4 bolts. I dig the seat, do any of you think thats a good deal? It seemed like it to me.
