Mc Gaughy's spindles

I have a 71 C10 SWB that I want to put dropped spindles on. I have a set of Mc Gaughy"s #33154 that are for a 73 - 87 , has anyone reamed the tapers and used them on a 71 or 72? I would also like information on the calipers, are they the same on the 71 as the 73? Thanks for your help!

Re: Mc Gaughy's spindles

Just change the upper balljoint and outer tie rod on your '71 to the 73-87 version,... and they will be a "bolt-on".

Re: Mc Gaughy's spindles

I assume you know that those McGaughy's spindles are for the 73-87 1" light duty rotors?
That means you will have to change rotors, calipers and the bearings.
(the inner or outer bearing is different. I can't remember which)

Re: Mc Gaughy's spindles

Thanks Keith, I have the 1" rotors with bearings and seals, from your answer I'm assuming it does take a different caliper.
