Leaf Spring help
Okay, are there any tricks you all have to remove the leaf spring bolts out of these trucks? Mine are frozen in there pretty solid.

Re: Leaf Spring help
My '73, being a northern truck, if it was threaded, cut off and replace.
If it's the leaf spring eye bolts, they're probably rusted into the bushings. Heat up the bushing with a torch, and you should be able to push them out. The bushings will have to be replaced, a propane torch will work, but it'll take longer. |

Perfect! Thanks, I'll give that a shot.

Penetrating oil, a big beater, hot wrench and perseverance gets the job done.

Saws all and buy new bolt and nut. Or you can take a big breaker bar and try breaking the bolt if it's rusted enough. It took me a weekend to get all my bolts out. Don't forget the beer!!!
