What size allen wrench/socket head?
 

Can anyone tell me what size the big allen headed plug is on the side of the block?

Block coolant drain, google says 17mm, but I can't verify.

iirc one of the sockets in my brake caliper socket kit fit it. I think it was 5/8 or 11/16 allen.


actually that might make sense, if google says its 17mm, then the 5/8 would fit loose.

It is 17mm. If you have a harbor freight in your area they have a cheap set of metric allen sockets that include a 17mm.

I usually find a bolt that fits and stick The head in and double nut the other end and remove
