here's a link to the faq on it. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ht=heater+core

She took the hood off to R&R it I don't think that is neccesary.

I have always dropped the inner fender to get to the bolt under the heater box but in the faq she just loosened it.... its a pretty straight forward job. good luck

Man i loved doing the heater cores on there trucks.remember to spend the time cleaning your housing and washing it and do go cheap on the parts.

Best off Buy all new hoses Buy a brand new brass Copper Heater core.Buy a new Blower. The AC modal one blows harder and warms up the truck faster then the standard heater one dose Buy some spray on adhesive the Rubber seal some times in cold weather likes to be a pain.the outer housing you can keep it the way it is or do a light primer and paint it black.Make sure you check the heater core inside your truck for dirt and crap. And lube all your cable's

But doing the heater core is a major kick in the butt to get you hot and ready to work on something else.

Things you really need to change again Heater core Blower motor and gaskets and heater hoses.then your in business

I just finished replacing mine. Really simple job. I unbolted my fender, dropped it a few inches and that's all it took. Make sure you replace the rubber gaskets and seals around the outter box.
