Seriously! Where do you get all this money?

low 84 04-26-2003 09:35 PM

sweet! are those factory z06 wheels? if they are be very carefull who you have mount them, they are lightweight metal and very easy to screw up if someone dosen't know what they are doing with a changer:D

swervin ervin 04-26-2003 09:38 PM

Dave,

you sold the house because you couldn't pay for it and now you are doing all this. What's up? Don't tell me you made enough money off the sale to do all this. Especially after giving the wife her half. Of course I know it's cheaper to live with Mama, but Dayum. :)

Oh, and what has this got to do with 73-87 trucks? :D

gchemist 04-26-2003 09:45 PM

If those are for the car this thread sucks too. :p

Nice wheels.

LOHRTBT 04-27-2003 02:07 AM

lmao!! Its the Trucks sister..that is what it has to do with it! :)

And I drove the truck Thursday and Friday to work so there!! haha
I didnt sell the house cause we couldnt afford it,, I sold the house since she wanted a divorce remember. I did make some off the house and got some extra that we werent expecting. and I am not spending as much as you all think. Im buying everything used but the tires. :D

And yes they are Repro ZO6 Wheels and I am having my buddy at the dealer do it...he is who does all my stuff and the machine wont touch the rim. :D

SCOTI 04-27-2003 11:48 AM

What widths are they?? I know somw of the repro's come in wider than Z06 sizes.

LOHRTBT 04-27-2003 09:39 PM

I just went with the 18x9.5's...didnt want to go bigger in back so I can rotate!! :)

84Stepper 04-27-2003 11:02 PM

79BIG10 04-27-2003 11:02 PM

actauly it will, just not the outside;) those whouldn't be hard to mount though, its when you take them off a vette and you have to deal with the pressure sensors that it is a bit tricky:D

LOHRTBT 04-27-2003 11:51 PM

Yep! :)

J-Spec C10 04-28-2003 12:44 AM

Dave,
What year is the T/A ? Those would look sick on a 77- 80 Firebird with the factory hood emlem (giant bird) and shaker hood. But my guess is that its much newer car, right?

Plus you're not paying a rent/house payment either, I bet that helps a ton. Now get your bucket down here so I can do the body mods. :D BTW my local guy can get the cab corners and tail fillers. :bowtie:

Captkaos 04-28-2003 10:30 AM

Who did you get them from and what did they run you? If you don't mind me asking.... I am thinking about getting some for my FRC Vette.

LOHRTBT 04-28-2003 10:50 AM

I got them from a guy that bought them from AFSwheels.com but he needed money and didnt ever mount them. You can win auctions with tires/wheels for under 1500 but typically its under 1700. They would look awesome on your FRC . :)

Captkaos 04-28-2003 11:59 AM

Thanks Dave. I will have to check that out. I am hoping I can find some on the corvette forums. Those and a Z06 titanium exhaust....

r0lf- 04-28-2003 12:18 PM

Looks good, cant wait to see em on the t/a.

LOHRTBT 04-28-2003 01:14 PM

Yeah you willl be able to find a titanium exhaust on cf's :)

Captkaos 04-28-2003 01:54 PM

I am trying to NOT buy a supercharger for it. Must........ focus.......... on...... Pickup and................ Jimmy........

Any times on it yet? My twins Z28/AT has ran 8.50's at the track(1/8th) so far with no mods.

LOHRTBT 04-28-2003 02:13 PM

no not yet...I will prolly run this Friday night. Should be able to run 13.0-13.3 @107-112 depending on the night and if I can remember how to drive again lol! I have only launched the car one time since I got it. I am hoping to squeak out a 12.9x hopefully.

Captkaos 04-28-2003 02:41 PM

cool, yours is a MN6 right? Email me pics when you get the rims mounted.

LOHRTBT 04-28-2003 02:41 PM

Yeah M6 is the only way to go on these cars as far as Im concerned. ;) No fun for me without it.
