Rear Wheel Cylinders

Are the rear brake wheel cylinders different (right/left)? "70 -1/2 ton"

Different angle where the line attaches.

Re: Rear Wheel Cylinders

I have searched the parts on line and from what I read the fitting thread sizes are different. One's 3/8 and the other's 7/16. Is that correct??

Thanks for the help. Just spent 1-#large on a valve job. Still patching more little stuff.

I will look in my Chevy truck resto manual and get back to you.

According to the books, both rear cylinders have the same thread. Angle different from right and left. Same with the front. 4WD trucks without locking hubs have 7/16" front cylinders, models with locking hubs have 3/8".

O.K., I'm just trying to buy the right stuff and here's what I found from NAPA and maybe that's what is confusing me.: ?right & left?

Those links didn't work. But I did a quick search of the NAPA site and see what you mean. They list two different size threads. My guess it is a typo. Just re-did the entire brake system on my '69 c-10 and both rear cylinders used the same thread.

:metal::metal:Sorry about the links, but thanks for taking the time to chase 'em down. Gotta' get the right stuff - truck's my only wheels, so I'm stranded if the stuff doesn't fit. Off tomorrow, so time will tell LOL
