Fuel tank options

I'm well aware of the options like the Camaro, Blazer or Suburban tanks. Has anyone ever tried any of the newer style setups such as what came in the 88-98 style pickups? I would really like to keep the spare tire under the bed, but would also like to get the tank out of the cab.

Re: Fuel tank options

before i did my blazer tank i had looked at many different tanks. one of these was the newer 88-98 tanks as i had one laying around. my truck is a short stepper and the tank was a shortie also. measuring up i wasn't going to be able to get it to fit and also was gonnan be alot of work. even running a fleetside bed it was gonna be a tight fit and then having to make a fuel door wasn't what i wanted(personal choice) also don't forget that the newer tanks have a different opening and if you don't need the in tank pump to run fuel injection it may be a pain to find a sending unit to fit them. good luck with your search though.
