Just picked up a GMC, interior shows pre-67, VIN on Frame is a 67.

Runs/drives, all I need to clean out the tanks & replace fuel hose to make it completely reliable... looking at the cab I cant figure out what this orange knob is for, its a pull knob... had some rewiring done in the cab so it's probably disconnected. PO didn't know what it was for.

That is your 4way emergency flashers.
Would like to see more pics of the whole truck. You obviously have a '66 hood, and I am not so certain about the GMCs, but I am pretty sure the Chevy body style changed with the '67.

well looks like those aren't working so well right now then..

I'm assuming its a 66 body on a 67 frame, this is the only pic of the truck I have right now onhand

Had one just like that on my 65 GMC pickup. Its for the 4-way hazards (Special equipment)

There are plenty of wiring diagrams floating around this site for you to get those hooked back up with.
Though I would suggest pulling it in out of the snow first.... not just chilly but wiring is a b**ch with gloves on !!

Wow, that looks good! Where abouts are you? I'm in Murray Hill area, but I work in downtown.

Welcome fellow Portlander. I'm out in the Gresham area. I'm wondering the same thing as jimmydean. You must be in the hills from the looks of that snow. We only got about an inch out here in the lowlands.
