New project in the future

I LOVE crew cab long bed square bodies. I plan to lift it, good meaty tires, 4X4, manual transmisison. Now I have a question for the powerplant. I know this is a chevy truck forum, but in all honesty, should I have a 12v(or24v) infront of the manual or should I go for a duramax? :sumo: I personally like the cummins diesel, but I'm by no means a diesel expert.

From what I've been reading, the Cummins is a way cheaper route to go. I personally want a duramax too, but haven't started pricing everything yet.

It makes me happy you are going diesel though. In a truck that size, you're going to need all the help you can get in the economy dept.

Haha yeah, Im putting a 454 in the truck in my sig/profile picture. Its my first vehicle and I want to restore it. but my crew cab once I graduate college will be everything I want in a truck. No worrying about keeping it original etc.
