03 GMC ENVOY won't come out of 4low?
 

Wife put the Envoy in 4low to get out of the driveway this morning, and now it won't switch back to any other mode? It's got the switch on the dash that controls the awd,4l,4h,2wd. Any ideas as to where to start?

Make sure the transmission is in neutral and you foot is off the brake before attempting to switch out of 4lo. If you have done this and it still will not come out then it could be the motor on the transfercase, gm has had alot of trouble with that.

I freaked out the first time I used it and it wouldn't come back out. Broke out the owner's manual and as mentioned above, the truck HAS to be in Neutral for it to come out, check out your owner's manual, there's a procedure for it.
