Posting a classified ad on Ebay is free but it will only be seen by people within a few hundred miles of you.

Did you try kijiji.com or kijiji.ca? That is my favourite for browsing vehicles for sale.

Lately ebay has been only charging if you sell the vehicle not for the listing. (but warning its like $150 if you sell thru them)
You may have to pay a few bucks if you upload alot of pics instead of putting them in HTML.

Hubgarage.com has free classifieds & i believe racingjunk.com does also

Although this site is not free, it's worth every dollar advertising on here because we have a focused group of truck loving folks nationally and internationally....PLUS it's like a magazine subscription that continues to give back:D

I've always had more luck just driving what ever I have forsale to the local cruise nights and getting it seen. I rarely every sell anything by advertising.

We have a cruise in Scottsdale that grabs 600 cars + and twice as many people. Great way to sell a car.
