Frame and suspension paint colors?

This is a repost. Still need some help. Wanted to know what colors/codes the frame, axels, and various suspension assemblies were painted from the factory. I know it can't all be Semi Gloss Black. That would be too easy. Thanks

I don't think to many people have documented what you are talking about. If you have an unmolested truck you could find out with some careful cleaning. Such things are well documented on corvettes,so if you looked at what they were doing to corvettes in 67-72 you would probably come pretty close as far as which parts were painted or cad plated and which were left "natural"

I'm begining to realize this. I appreciate your input though. I'll check out some corvette groups/sites. Unfortunatly most of the underside has a nice layer of oxidation, so its been tuff to say deffinatly which parts are what colors. Post some pictures of your 72 when you get finished. Thanks

Camaro and Chevelles have also been doing this level of restorations too. Not to mention the Nova crowd, but to a lesser extent.
