Wrong seatbelts again errr

Some how with the excitement of picking up some black seatbelts I got the wrong ones again. The left one is C10 single cab. Th right one is maybe blazer, suburban/crewcab? Can some one tell me?

Re: Wrong seatbelts again errr

They are both for a single cab. The ones on the right side are the newer design used for the later years. I'm not sure what year was the transition year, I want to say 85, but not sure. My 87 has the longer ones.

I'll check again but I don't think the mounting bolt is in the same place. I that possible?

Nope they are not a fit. Still thinkin Suburban or crewcab.

Take a pic of the mounting, that might help identify them.

Black seat belts from my other 87. As you can see, they have a bracket that is used to mount this syle.

Like i said, i'm not sure what year they made the change, but all of mine have had this style.

Re: Wrong seatbelts again errr

Ah That little bracket is what I'm missing. My belt has that same part number but no bracket. I'm shoppin again:lol: Those black belts sure are hard to find.

Think there's a difference as to which plant where the trucks were built? Seems to me my other 1/2 set in black was an 84 too but looked like the set I pictured on the left.

Thanks everyone

Re: Wrong seatbelts again errr

Yeah, that design in black are not as common as the others.

It could be a plant difference. Maybe our GM expert (Keith Seymore) will chime in with some of his knowledge on the issue.

normally i've seen a rivits? about where that bolt is,
shouldn't that bolt be heavy grade "8" or is it?
I've never seen it but have been told there is a piece you can buy to reuse the belt after cutting out the rivit,(cause you can't get the bolt out),might be that?

I have a set of the smaller style black ones you can have if you just pay shipping. I have no need for them.

I've never seen a rivet on one of these. The bolt on the black seat belt is a metric 9.8.

All of my seat belts in my trucks have this set up (all 1987) I'm sure this is not coincidental.

Surely there is someone else on here that has this same seat belt.

what i was thinking is not the same,
in the burbs anyway it had the extra piece joined with it,called it a rivit
(may be size of a 25c)
I wanted belts for the back of my burb,
and guy in the junk yard don't take a belt if the rivit strap is bent
i think it just is the same spot different belts/setup

sorry guys, when he wasnt intersted I figured everyone only wants "mint" condition belts.....shame when you cant even give something away.....they are in a box at the curb for trash this morning (along with other black interior trim panels from same truck). Im reorganizing my garage and getting rid of things I dont need to make room.

Went to Pick and pull on my break today and not an 87 in the house. If I could just find those brackets I'd be set. Well another trip and an inventory check should do it. I did find a hinged license plate bracket off a caddi so it wasn't a total waste. Now after I mount it I can get to that hidden hitch thats hiding lol
