mustang ii
I have a 56 Chevy pickup and was going to leave the stock front axle in it and add power steering and everything else but with the help from the guys on here its just going to be to expensive that way. So I'm leaning toward a mustang ii front suspension. Has anyone used the hub to hub mustang ii front suspension from southern rods. They're kit is $1379 with free shipping what you guys think. Money is tight right now and i might be able to do that but if its crap then i guess ill wait. Thanks for the help guys

Re: mustang ii
It's been awhile since I bought my MII kit but I looked at every vendor including Southern Rods. I ended up going with a TCI package from CPP, it had a bunch of extras with it including the power rack, hoses, brake line kit, proportioning valve, air bags, disc brakes, and some more for around $1600. That was a good deal at the time but I wish I had gone with Heidt's unit.
The biggest thing to make sure of is that you get lower A arms and not strut rods. |

They're just weak and prone to losing their alignment. You shouldn't have a problem though, the Southernrods kit has full lower arms as do most.

Re: mustang ii
I have strut rods on my 57 with a big block .i personally think its stronger set up than A arms. Never lost my alignment.
