Help this newbie to the lowered truck world
Ok so heres the deal my my pops gave me his 87 dually. My plans for it are paint, tint, and lower but this will be the first truck I've ever lowered. Hell the first two whelk drive truck I've ever had haha. I really have no clue where to start. I've done some searching on here and I'm thinking I wanna do like a 3/5 drop. Nothing to crazy. So just wondering where to buy parts and maybe some pics to lead me in the right direction. Thanks guys.
Here's my dually http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/s...1/54be2c71.jpg And one I found online that I really liked http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/s...1/f5c25185.jpg Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Help this newbie to the lowered truck world
ok so im gonna go with a flip kit in the rear for my 6''s but for the front i only find 3'' drop spindals and i want to go 4 in the front so should i just get 1'' lowering springs or cut my stock ones? could anyone post a pic of a dually with a 4/6 drop i just wanna make sure thats how low i wanna go. or how would it look with a 3/6?

You might want to think about adding some helper bags to the rear if you do a lot of towing especially if you remove leafs. Western chassis makes good stuff and a bolt in cnotch if the 6" drop gets your axle gets too close to your frame. |
Re: Help this newbie to the lowered truck world
Thanks for the input man. Yeah I plan on doing a c notch but I'm just gonna build my own little kit (I work it a fab shop) guess I got some more research to do before I get to crazy buying parts.

Re: Help this newbie to the lowered truck world
my advice would be to go low the first time.it's alot cheaper and less trouble then going back and redoin things because your not happy with the stance.
