Cool LS valve covers

I thought this was a really cool mod for making LS motors retro.
This was the Holly shop truck build posted on the Classic Trucks site. |
Re: Cool LS valve covers

Re: Cool LS valve covers
They are coil covers, in actuality. The original valve covers are still under them and so are the coils. They do look good on a motor, though. It definitely gives a big block look to the engine.

Re: Cool LS valve covers
My favorite are the ones the guys at Muscle Car Restorations used on this '69 Z/28. They look like and are stock small block valve covers they adapted to fit over and act as coils covers.

Unfortunately, they don't go in to any detail on what they did to them for it to fit. http://musclecarrestorations.com/carcraftcamaro.html Edit: I found a link to the car craft article, but still a little short on details. http://www.carcraft.com/featuredvehi...o/viewall.html |
Re: Cool LS valve covers
Looks like he kept it injected too, just painted the fuel rails black so they dont stand out and threw a stock air cleaner on top of the throttle body.
