ok just getting started on it, so i figured i would start the thread as well. i have been trying to buy this truck from my dad for years, needless to say i finally talked him into selling it. i have done a couple ratrods and 4x4 offroad builds but this will be my first " pretty" classic wish me luck

i plan to have a truck that looks stock, but isnt. she will get a fresh coat of med blue and white all new molding and trim, interior will be restored to her original glory plus of coarse a decent sound system. not to crazy under the hood, but have the abilty to hold her own against the ricers. and i would really like to put her on air not crazy low just enough to notice. anyone want to chime in on a good set up for the air that wont completly brake the bank but isnt junk i would appriecate it

just go simple and buy the bag plates and cups for the front and the bags to replace the springs in the back and you are only out a few hundred , put them on manual schrader valves and you have cheap air ride !

How much does this kit lower the truck and about how much does it cost? Got pics of a truck with this simple setup?

so im still slowly gathering parts for the air ride set up. this is what i have or have ordered. paddle valve and guage set up from street machinery... thanks boris
i already had a set of bags from a previous project so im using them on the rear
will be getting the front bags and plates from jason at avs www.airbagparts.com
i scored a york compressor from work... i work in a scrap yard.... pics to follow on the install

Hit the swapmeet today and got another York pump and 5 gal air tank all for 60 bucks! Now as soon as my feet stop hurting, its out to the shop to fab up some mounts for the York

Yeah its pretty solid, couple of bad spots but nothing that can't be fixed with welder lol. Body guy say it should be done by next weekend. So I'm getting my camera ready!
