Putting bucket seats in, How do i hide the gas tank?
Im fitting up my buckets in now and still have the in-cab gas tank. I was wondering if anyone makes a gas tank cover, could be carpet or metal, I just dont want the tank sticking out like a sore thumb. If anyone knows a company that makes anything like that or if anyone has dealt with this problem i would love to see what you did.

Check out ClassicParts, they've got a cover I plan on picking up.

A lot of vendors sell a cover. I believe Manes, LMC, brothers all sell one. When I put in my bucket seats I made my own cover out of Fiberglass.

I picked up a yard of carpet material from a local upholstery shop and my son installed it in his 69 GMC with buckets using velcro-tape. Easy installation.

JIm,
Did the edges have the binding on or did you have to do that yourself. That looks like a neat solution and I am looking at replacing the backbreaker this spring in my "72. |

From the factory there was a cardboard cover we found one in a parts truck one day and are going to use it as a template to make a cover for my tank
