72 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 project or parts (Sierra Grande)

Hey all,

I've got a '72 GMC that needs a new home. It's a 3/4 ton 4x4, and is a Sierra Grande. It also has very little rust, being a Colorado truck, although the right bedside and driver's door are dented. Engine is a 350, condition unknown. I believe it to be the factory engine although I haven't looked for numbers. Auto transmission, NP205 t-case, power-lok rear axle. Has 3 fuel tanks... one behind seat, factory auxiliary tank, and aftermarket auxiliary tank.

Has power steering and power disc brakes. Tilt column and tach dash have been replaced with "plain" parts. New column doesn't have a shifter, so there is not currently a way to shift the transmission :)

Truck is complete except for distributor, plug wires, radiator hoses... I think pretty much everything else is there.

All glass is good. I have many more photos so if you are seriously interested, I can email them to you (please don't ask for more pics if you have no intentions of buying the truck)

I don't have a title for the truck. Asking $800. Located in Colorado Springs, and I can deliver locally.

John

Can a clear title be obtained for this truck if so i am interested seriously interested

I'm not going to attempt to get a title for it... it is sold like I listed it, without a title.

I was supposed to get a title when I bought it, and now can't get ahold of the guy I bought it from.

However, I don't think there would be any problems in getting one... it is a somewhat long process (you have to "bond for title", etc) but it can be done.

Let me know if you're still interested

John,
would you consider california local ? just kidding. looks like a heck of a deal for someone. are those factory tow hooks i see hanging under the front ? option # V76 on the glovebox door.if they are factory, would you consider selling them off the truck ?

Looks like a good starter project for a 4x4. $800 seems like a nice price for it. If you do not sell are you going to part it out? If so I would be interested in the front bumper guards depending on price and condition. Looking for a original set for my 71 4x4. Keep me in mind if you decide to part out the truck. Thanks

Oh my I would be interested but I don't have the time right now to come to Colorado. I need to do some checking on someone to haul it. Do you know anyone that hauls to Kansas from out there? Thanks Randy

If you part it put me in line for the tow hooks for sure, Thanks Randy

John ,if you could please e-mail about this truck at jabarlo@qwest.com

veedublu 05-04-2003 08:19 PM

Sorry about the delay in response guys....

Yep, sure looks like the GMC has tow hooks... if somebody buys the whole truck they get them. If I decide to part it out they'll be available.

If I do end up parting the truck, I'll reply to those who have contacted me about tow hooks, bumper guards, etc, but will also start a new thread here

Thanks for all the interest!

John
