1963 bbc header fit issues
her is my issue........1963 chevy s/b ,f/s 396 bb, holley block hugger headers.....engine is in ...had to notch the frame (just the top section) but quite a bit.My gut feeling says NO!This is not right!!! please for the love of god is there someone out there with this issue and an answer...HELP ...THIS PROJECT JUST TOOK A STEP BACKWARDS........oh ya its 4x4...sorry

Got a picture? May make it easier to help you out. When I did my 66 I used chevelle headers and they were not a bad fit.

Here is another thread about a similar issue. The same would apply to a 4x4 as the frames are basically the same. If you are running a manual trans, that will complicate the issue with trying to find a header that will be compatable with the clutch bellcrank. I would consider converting to a hydraulic clutch.

i used stock manifolds with no problems with a auto.
