Re: New tree and Weed Puller
That's a mighty fine stump puller that you have there.

Re: New tree and Weed Puller

Re: New tree and Weed Puller
That is a pretty stump puller.
Throw a heavy coat or blanket over the chain next time, so if it does come off or break it slows it down a bit. |
Re: New tree and Weed Puller
I've always heard that you should use a cable or a nylon strap for pulling stuff like that just for the reason listed by 77chris03. I've also heard of the chain coming up as far as the rear window and smashing it.

Re: New tree and Weed Puller
Glad you guys mentioned that! It never crossed my mind that the chain might break and surprise me in the back of the head. Sucks that I spent $30 on that measly chain! I'll grab a cable.

Re: New tree and Weed Puller
Yah its only a matter of time before that chain gives way.
Lets see more pics of the Blazer, it looks like something I would like to see more of. |
Re: New tree and Weed Puller
Nice Blazer.More pics. As a side note, I had a Dodge Dakota 4X4 with a V8 that I bought new in 05. My son asked if he could borrow it. He pulled a bunch of big old arborvtae (sp?)
with it. When I went to put my tow chain away, it wouldn't lay right - he had stretched all the links to the point that the chain was junk. I think he was getting it slack and nailing it. Thank God he didn't wreck my truck. Be careful with that Blazer. |
Re: New tree and Weed Puller
When i bought my jimmy the 90 year old geman guy told me "I use it to pull stump on my property" and it hadnt been insured in over 6 years and it was parked in 4 low. The sm465 and np205 turns any truck into a tractor.
