turn signal switch wireing

Today i started to replace the turn signal switch on my 67, but the plug on the truck has 8 pins and my new one has 9. Is there any way to make the new one work ?

Re: turn signal switch wireing

See if the wires match up. The number of cavities in the connectors usually don't matter as long as the wires match. If the connectors won't plug together then you have a problem. peace

There is an adapter made for this but you can cut the wires off the old switch about 2 in. from the connector & cut the new switch & splice the wires. It is best to solder them & use heat shrink tubeing but you can use but connecters.
