Stock height 4x4 tire options information

On my 1988 V10 I'm trying to figure out what my tire options are without lift. What is the biggest height and width before I would have rubbing problems...what about if I am willing to shave the fender corners some? Or purchase offset wheels?

I looked around but couldn't find a solid source for this information. My stock size is 235/75R15 6 lugs right now.

Thanks.

31x10.5x15 will easily fit. The largest I ran was a 32x11.5x15 (I may be off on the width by an inch) and had no problems. Had both of these sizes on my 83 shortbed 4x4. I've heard, but can't confirm, that a 33" tire will fit with some rubbing on an 8" wide rim.

Hmm... maybe this would get more input in the 4x4 area?

I dont really know how to figure this out without a lot of trial and error, and I haven't had my burb that long, nor the resources to swap that much...

31x10.5x15 will definitely fit. I have that size on my Suburban right now. I also have sagging leaf springs. So they would definitely fit on a better condition truck.

I am interested in this too. I actually wanna put on a small lift, and then do some work to get even bigger tires on.

The biggest tire with absolutely no rubbing issues is 11.50/32-15. But,those are getting limited in availability due to all the queer sizes made these days ordinary tires are being bumped from production.

For 33/12.5x15's, would those fit on the stock rim width? Where would the rubbing issues come first - front fenders or turning?
