My first SWB, 87 r10
My father found this 87 in Mississippi. I'll be beaded down there to bring it back next month. It's running strong with the 5.7l and 700r tranny. Body is in good shape, no rust, drives nice from what I hear. The interior is in bad shape...
I'm sticking the black rally wheels with new tires on it, then if all is well under the hood...starting on the interior. Pics... http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/x...5/46fb9c4b.jpg http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/x...5/17857a80.jpg http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/x...5/157d0519.jpg http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/x...5/ab3d89c7.jpg http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/x...5/0f7ba6ff.jpg http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/x...5/2a7bda04.jpg http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/x...5/2d41ef5a.jpg Cheers |

You've got some work to do but looks like a very good starting point.
Congratulations on the purchase! K |
Re: My first SWB, 87 r10
Thanks!
I plan on making it my daily driver. My intentions are mostly just to clean it up, bring it as close to presentable stock condition as I can. I'll repair and cover the seat, dash pad, remove the carpet, new headliner, fix the glove box, etc... I'm not doing any suspension or engine mods...I don't think... |

Nice truck, my only advice is don't drive it in the winter when you bring it back haha

Don't worry, there will be plenty of pics. I'm pretty active on the Adventure Rider M/C forum... We all like pics too!
We'll see how far this truck goes. But just like motorcycles, projects have a way of taking off on their own... For better or for worse Posted via Mobile Device |
