two inch drop
what is the best way to do so? i am using 15 inch wheels.
2 inch drop blocks in rear? cpp i found front 2 inch drop springs on craigslist for 100 bucks |
Re: two inch drop
That isn't a bad way to go. Both are easy to install. Be warned that there may be a scrubbing problem if you have a flat tire on the rear. The u-bolt will extend below the lower portion of the wheel and dig into the pavement. Although rare, it could happen.

Re: two inch drop
Get the proper drop springs front and rear.
You can go cheap... but it's just easier to spend a little more cash and do it right. Springs can be heated. I've done it many times. But am not going to go into hpw to do it. Because it needs to be done a certain way to be done safely. A lot of cats won't heat springs. But... it's up to you. Gary |
Re: two inch drop
Oh I will be installing parts. Not cutting or heating. I thought I read a while back that it was best to use a drop block in rear. A 3/5 drop spring would be pretty neat looking. I drag race the truck too. So not sure if I want to get crazy with the drop.

Re: two inch drop
What about using dropped spindles?
I have basically the same situation. I do not want to change my wheels, running 15x10's all the way around, but want to use a 2.5/4 drop. Thanks, MrBlue |

3/5 (3"springs/2" blocks) using 255/60 and 255/70s. Because of the staggered tire sizes it should come down another inch in the front.

Re: two inch drop
I thought you were going to leave it stock and add bags in the rear?
