Hood latch pin
 

I'm wondering it it's possible to replace the hood catch pin attached to the underside of the hood? It's the unit that the hood latch fastens on to. Mine has, over the years, worn a significant groove in it to the point that it hangs up sometimes. I've tried smoothing it with emery paper which helps some but would like to replace it. Problem is, I can't see any way to r/r the pin. It appears to be an integral part of the hood.
