What is the difference between 60-62 and 63-66 step side bumpers
I have a 66 step side I need a rear bumper I know that 63-66 are the same but how do I tale the difference between the 63-66 60-62 and 55-59.
I'm asking this because I'm going to look at a 63 bumper and I would like to know what I'm looking at. Thanks for your help |

Bolt mounting locations are different because of different frame widths.

Re: What is the difference between 60-62 and 63-66 step side bumpers
As far as I know, with stepside rear bumpers, there are no differences. I know the front bumpers are different because of the changes in frame and supspension...
Also, catalogs have 'stepside rear bumpers' listed with the same part number. |
Re: What is the difference between 60-62 and 63-66 step side bumpers
The 60-62 frames are wider in the back, but I believe the stepside bumpers are all the same, the differences being made up in the bumper brackets.

Re: What is the difference between 60-62 and 63-66 step side bumpers
I think some previous owner bolted a 63-66 stepside bumper on my 65 that sits on a 62 frame.
You can see where they plugged the holes that would of lined up with the 63-66. Also, it's upside down. http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...8148802975.png |
Re: What is the difference between 60-62 and 63-66 step side bumpers
LMC shows the same part number for 60-66 bumpers. The brackets are different for 60-62 to 63-66.
Can someone give me a between bolt hole measurement for a 63-66 bumper. Thanks for the help |
Re: What is the difference between 60-62 and 63-66 step side bumpers
Right at 15 inches between bolts. Center to center.
