Finally got started on the new project, Found a 67 in so so shape, I think Earl Scheib had this thing @ one time !!!!
Plans are all tubular crossmembers, Being built @ Porterbuilt as we speak. Air ride with sway bars front and rear, Steering still up in the air. Power will be from Ls2 or Ls something? Depend what I can find! Shaved fire wall. Disc all around, He are a few pictures to start with! Also check ot my other build. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=457288 |

gonna be replacing every one of my x members also with tubular. will definetely keep an eye on this build. |
Re: 67 ls-rrrr
I blasted with all the cross members in it to start with. Just so I could get to all of the rivets, instead of digging thru all the grime. I did not waste my time on the cros members, no that there out I'm going to go back and clean up a few areas.

Re: 67 ls-rrrr
WOW! Man you really took that frame apart! All the rivits must have been a huge pain. Sounds like you have some awesome plans for it.

Re: 67 ls-rrrr

looks great! i will definitely be following this thread, AZ trucks and all :)

Re: 67 ls-rrrr
For those who still have hours of cutting rivets out, i've found cutting an x into the top of them with the cutoff wheel and taking the air hammer with the chisel tool on it works pretty quick
