Cab and chassis huh? Short on execution but large on cool points. I really dig it.

The guy who has it came and bought some parts from a few weeks ago. He said it is beyond a hack job, not even remotely a real conversion but something someone did in their driveway after a 12 pack.

That is some terrible metal work. Looks like they "patched" in a peice where a window was on the "mega cab" part. :dohh:

I wish there were some interior pictures just to see what the space between front and rear seats looks like. It would be cool if someone did it right and stretched the rear door like a real Mega Cab. That seems like it would be an amazing amount of work though.

For someone that knows what they're doing, it really wouldn't be any harder to stretch the door than what they did. Just have to have some custom glass made for it.

From the pic of that patched area I referenced above, it almost looks like they actually welded a door to the rear section of the cab and filled in where the window was.

He told me it looked like they had used door skins, or possibly one door skin ripped in half from top to bottom, as the outer portion for the xcab. He was really trying to push the truck on me but then he'd run it in the ground about how hard it'd be to make right. He was not a very good salesperson. Super nice guy though. It's been on CL for a good spell now.
