I cant seem to locate a base gasket
 
where does a person find the base mounting gasket for the Stromberg 2 brl carb model WW that is on my 64 GMC Burban with the 305 V6 ?? It is about 1/2 inch thick. any substitutes out there?

jamie; you will have perhaps better luck asking this question on the 60-66 gmc site. a common upgrade for these is the holley 500 2 barrel carb again 60-66

Racers back in the day and for many years I ran plywood carb spacers.

Last time I made one, I used A/A sided outdoor signboard plywood.
[what you buy at like lowes, is C or D sided, very rough and pouris with lower quality woods and would not last.]

course now you can buy high quality plastic and make one from that. Every town has a place that sells plastic n sign board to supply sign shops n such.
