1970 Engine is a SBC or a BBC

I just bought a 1970 C20 Custom Camper for restoration. The option sticker says the original engine was a V-8 400 CU IN engine. Can anyone tell me was it a 400 small block or a big block 402 that I hear they called a 400? I seem to be getting conflicting info from the internet.

Currently it has a 262 from a 1975 Nova. I would like to put an original engine in it.

Correct. No small block 400s in these year trucks.
