Today the battery in my C-10 took a dump. No problem, hit the Local Advance to get a new one. The young man sold me the battery and asked " Can we install it for you for free?". Sure, why not, saves me the bother. So we go out to the truck, and I pull the hood. My engine originated in a boat. It is a Crusader 350 engine. He looks over and sees the " Crusader Marine Engine Division" decal and says" I can't put this battery in, this is a Marine engine and you need a Marine Battery". I knew where this was going... I took the battery and told him nevermind, I'll install it at home. "You know there is no Warranty, right?" he said. I ignored him and left. I just laughed....

i had a shop tell me they would not install a power steering pump if i bought it and dropped it off with the truck to save them a parts store run.

i can only assume they wanted the money from the core charge that badly

Get one of those spinny props for the reciever hitch and ask if they sell a bigger one, because you can't get above 20mph. Be careful though, that may melt his brain.

hahahaha i had a buddy buy a peace of heater hose from oriellys and he only needed like 3 inches of hose and they made him buy a foot and told him if he wanted it cut he would have to buy the tool (tuck was broke in the parking lot) then he bought antifreeze non recuded and asked if he could get some water out of there building they said nope you should have bought 50/50 antifreeze lol

I called up the local parts store and asked the man if he had a high pressure steering hose for my 70 c10. He replied yes, how much would you like $2 a foot. I replied HIGH PRESSURE.! He said I would have to come down and match up the diameter though because there are several. I said NO! This has fittings on the ends and the hose is permanently crimped. He said that he had been doing this for 17 years and I was not going to teach him anything. I realized at that point that this whole conversation was my fault....? Oh and I have a marine battery in my truck and my boat is not at all happy with me!:chevy:
