68 Lowrider updates

A little before and after, the top two photos are how it looked today when i dropped it off at Hot Rods and Hobbies, Signal Hill, California. They are putting the stock 68 trim back on removing the trends grill, adding a smooth chrome front bumper and hidden front turn signals, new windshield and stock stainless window garnish,700 R4 trans to name a few.The new american 5 spokes were installed today, also a Gary Kinion 2 inch shorter tilt column.I am getting it ready for a run from California to Goodguys Indy in sept.I will post updates if anybody is interested the the second set of photos is before and after of the new column.Scott started the trim today look for a update tommorrow Thanks

The dash pad is fromjustdashes.com and it uses small autometer gauges.Gary Kinikon and his son Cody are building a new 3 gauge panel for me right now using a factory tach speedo and fuel gauge only, the air ride stuff on the dash was abandoned years ago when i switched to a ride sensor type air ride with the controller in the glove box.I am on my way to Scotts I will take a better dash photo today. Thanksj

Sweet truck! I love the interior, and the addition of the 67-68 side trim made it even better! Joseph

Yesterday the door panels and accesories were removed so they could bolt the exterior trim on.It was all put back together yesterday eve.I will take more interior pictures monday. the seat is a 89 chevy out of a C/K single cab truck. the top of the frame was clipped to keep it out of the window and the foam was reshaped so it did not look like a stock 89 seat. The center arm rest was also removed from the frame.A skirt was added on the bottom so you cant see the amp and sub under the seat. The air ride equipment ,tank ,compressor and valves are behind the seat where the gas tank was and is covered by a carpet panel that looks like the tank is still there.
