Has anyone cut their cross member coil buckets before mounting the airbag plate? I have Z'd the front 3" and going to run 235/75r15. Looking to lay rocker and wondering if an 1.5" or so would take the place of dropping the bag into the lca. Its a 71' lwb chassis. Do I also have to plan on buying drop spindles?

Man, when N2TRUX drops his name, everyone gets in line.:smoke: I did manage to find 2 pics after I posted this. My next question is, would it be better to cut the upper pocket level or at a slight angle to better match the lca? During tear down I noticed that the upper ball joint was the first thing to bind then the lca arm hitting the cm pocket. After pie cutting the uca, how much range of movement in the arc is safe? Seems like I will be able to cycle the front suspention quite a bit. And thank you duceducenine, great little write up.
