new motor old gas

Just finished putting the new motor in. There is maybe half a tank of gas in the truck. Almost 8 months to a year old. Reckon I should drain it or just mix it with some good gas? What you guys and gals think?

Drain it for sure, it can gum up your valves and bend pushrods and all kinds of good stuff....

Absolutely, better to be safe than sorry. 8 months old is probably not too bad but I've seen what old gas can do, and it was not pretty. Not worth the chance to me.

Better to have fresh gas why would you want to tune a motor or fight with a lean misfire and than have to retune
