Grab Handle on a light duty truck?
I was surfing the web, looking for NOS and OEM stuff for my truck, when I came across this. I don't think I've ever seen grab handles on the outside of a 60-66 light duty truck. Was this an option? If so, does anyone have a picture of their original placement? I'm thinking this was something only the bigger trucks had?
Thanks! http://inlinethumb06.webshots.com/49...600x600Q85.jpg |

There were called "Assist Handles" and generally used for the bigger trucks.

There was to my knowledge, no assigned place for them. I've seen them all over trucks, side, back and even on the roof and as an interior door pull.

Re: Grab Handle on a light duty truck?
My '71 GMC 9500 had one from the factory. Can't remember if my '62 GMC 6500 or if my '67 GMC 7500 had them. I would have to check on some pictures.

Here is a picture of one on a GMC 7500:

The pictures are kind of hard to find, but here is one on a '64 or '65 GMC 6500:
