and the last one, my ugly wheels.

Take some 00 steel wool to those wheels, and then some polish (of course this is after you throw away those spinners), and they might not be so bad.

how come nobody puts the aluminum rings back around the tail lights?

BIG ORANGE 05-08-2003 10:43 PM

Thats gonna make a nice ride, keep us posted!

Hey, if you dont want the rims. I'll take 'em. Lol. I like them. Go figure. I'm 16. The aluminum trim issue, um, it's ugly to most people, bends easily, sometime pits. Ya know.

Them are some bling-blingin rims!
Nice truck though.

my trucks twin

Pat,
Guess my truck has a twin. The color/year are almost identical....
Nice truck by the way.
About the trim, In my opinion it looks good if you keep the stock looking tailgate, but If you have a rolled gate (like you have), then the chrome can be removed. What sway bar did you install?

If you're are planning on buying wheels, i have a buddy that is selling some 6 lug chrome Camaro Ralley's. Size is 15 inch and width 8 I believe. They have spinners on them at the moment. He's asking $300 for them including tires (50% thread left on them). Let me know if you want a pic of them.

The wheels are similiar to these, except they have spinners almost like you have on your wheels.

Those rims would look great cleaned up and put on a big old caddy. 60's-70's vintage

Yukon Jack 05-09-2003 11:55 AM

Looks like you have a solid foundation to work off of, helps not having to deal with tons of rust!

Blue Beard 05-09-2003 12:14 PM

Looks good with what you've done...........

pat 05-10-2003 10:30 PM

Thanks everybody.

Trinic, I put a sway bar off an old 3/4 ton chevy, maybe a 74, bolted right up. The handling is SO much better. I think I have seen your truck before on the net, post a pic maybe. No thanks on the rims, eventually I want some 17s, TorqThrust style maybe.

Yukon Jack, I wish I could say that. The rocker panels, cab corners, kick panels, and passenger floor need replacing, and theres a little rust on the door corners and up under the dash. Oh well, it can be fixed I guess.

Crank, if you reeeeally want the wheels, Im gonna be wanting to get rid of them as soon as possible:D .

Nice truck! Torq-thrusts would look great.
