And as it turns out it is the number matching motor I was looking for. WE code with the glide and has 103K original on it.

Excellent score!

Actually, in restoration terminology, that engine is considered to be "Correct" for your truck. "Numbers Matching" means the VIN stamp on the block matches the VIN# on the data plate.

Now, check the build date of your truck and see how it matches up to the build date on the new engine. You may have a "Date Correct" motor, and that would be awesome. Drivetrain parts were always earlier than the build date of the vehicles.

You found the right motor, and that's like finding a needle in a haystack.

Very cool that it still has the air cleaner and hard pipe for the upper radiator connection.
