I had an Idea... Barn doors lower and Hatch Glass on Top???
 

I had this off kilter idea of what if you took the barn doors cut the upper window section off and had the glass lift gate close to it? Best of both worlds...Has anyone done this and how did it turn out?

There's pictures around here of one. I have them saved on my computer but don't remember where they came from. Maybe Frizzle Fry's Tahoe build?

I'm tempted to give it a whirl but the top hatch would be a little too tall for my K20.

The Astro vans had the "Dutch Door" option. Might be worth tracking one down and seeing if it is what you want. Nice for quick light stuff or swing the doors open to load right into the bed.
