More pics o' my truck. The clutch is virtually gone so I'm gonna have to tow it into town for its rebirth.... & yes, I know it seriously needs a bath! ;) Are the side mirrors factory? I'm open to any comments or suggestions...

Lol, you can climb right in with that 292, thats the way I like 'em, lots of elbow room. Maybe later you will consider installing all those p/s p/b options etc. Check the glove box sticker (if still there) and see if the sport mirrors came with the truck. They use the same mounting plates. If the original mirrors were the west coast style, or whatever, you might see signs of where they were bolted to the doors. Good luck with the project, looks like an all original '67 - 910.

Gee_Emm 05-11-2003 07:53 PM

It will be cool to see it washed up and maybe throw a coat of wax on it to get some shine into it.

Is it just me or does that hood raised up more then usual?

passthebuck 05-11-2003 08:02 PM

Thanx gee_emm. the hood closes normal - I think it looks funny too because of how I had to shrink the photo to post it.

Was that 49-53 Chevy in the background also for sale ???......Zoomy

mtdave2 05-11-2003 08:57 PM

good powerwasher, 1/2 gallon of castrol supper clean and wax, that thing would look great!

passthebuck 05-11-2003 09:31 PM

The older chev in the back is my cousins truck. It hauled grain on my uncles farm from about '55 until '76. it's still very solid & will be restored within a few years.

Is that truck a 4x4? What are the specs?

Longhorn Man 05-11-2003 11:52 PM

The mirror arms are stock...the heads may or may not be. Many of them came with round heads...but some had the rectangle.
Interesting that it still has the oil bath air filter...I have neer seen one installed on one of these trucks.
That 67 grill is worth some coin if it is still straight. Just so you know if you swap it out for something else.
Looks like a real good starting point/daily driver.

yellowgmc 05-12-2003 02:05 AM

i see you have the rare rocker panel delete option!

krue 05-12-2003 02:21 AM

Good looking project u got there!!!!

Iron-Butt 05-12-2003 06:15 PM

good start

passthebuck 05-12-2003 07:17 PM

oilbath aircleaner?

specs on the truck are minimal- it has the i6/3 on the tree, coil rear, "helper leafs", steel bed, rocker panel delete, no radio, & the swiss-cheeze bedfloor option, etc... it hauled a 200 CANADIAN GALLON water tank most of its life & its dusty as all of hell. IF anybody out there has an extra oil-bath aircleaner out there-let me know 'cause I need the little support that goes from the head to the bottom of the aircleaner. My uncle bought the truck used in the mid '70ies & it had the oilbath aircleaner already... HAS ANYONE seen one of our trucks that came factory with an oilbath aircleaner? I'm told there are better for very dusty environments... it has the textured glovebox but no option sticker & no build sheet in the seat.

Longhorn Man 05-12-2003 11:31 PM

That oil bath is probably original. I think they all did...but I'd have to look at my books which are not here at the moment.
