Enough yoke?

2 Attachment(s)
Yesterday I dropped the engine into my 60 GMC Sub with a TH350 trans. As stated in the title, do I have enough yoke into the tranny? With a 3 3/4 inch shaft, 1 3/4 is into the trans with 2 inches out. I'll try pics too

I would want more in personnally. Are the engine mounts on the rear set of holes?

I agree - that would make me nervous having it that far out. If the suspension drops completely going over a bad pothole, it might not be enough.

Every thing I have read and every shop I have dealt with regarding driveshafts has said you want 3/4"-1" exposed at ride height. I think you are asking for a lot of problems with the yoke that far out.

I know that longer yokes are made...would that solve the problem? Engine is just about as far back as I want it BTW.

do it properly and retube your d/shaft. is the motor sitting in the proper place or is it just simpler where you have it
