Blazer door weatherstrip

I was completely surprised when I ordered a set of these from ebay. $45 plus $10 to ship. What I got was Supersoft weatherstips that were twice the thickness of LMC's and went on smoothly in the corners and didn"t really need glue. Oh, also both were enough to do complete door not half like LMC's. The company is The Parts Place and tell them you want the ebay special.

I got this part #WS80791K from thepartsplace.com but it gave no description other than Blazer/Jimmy door weather strip. It was listed as $45 but still unsure if this is it.

4oldcars would you use it again? How was the quality and ease of installation?

Here's what I got.Attachment 1450085

Attachment 1450086

These pics are the same weatherstrip. Top & bottom pics. I think (?) this is left (driver) side.

Not sure what I have or how to install it. My existing weatherstrip does not have this end on it.

Any input?

I think that bolts to the top corner of the windshield frame should have a metal plate molded into it.

You need to get the 3 screws for the top of the A pillar, then work your way down, using 3M weather strip glue. if you use small pieces of electrical tape to hold it in place while it dries it will look sharp. if you need I can post pictures. good luck.

Yes it does. You might need to chase the threads though.

Thank you 1rippen6 and AlBsure. I think you guys are right on. I contacted the mfg and they couldn't/wouldn't help me. The only problem I see here is that I gotta take the top off to install the weatherstrip. Wasn't wanting to do that, but I guess that's what it will take to stop the leaking.
