scanner not linking
 

Hello, I built my own harness from lt1 swap for my 05 lq4 and 4l80e, I am having issues with my scan tool, I can read and erase codes with key on, but if the engine is running it will not link?

this scanner works in my DD 03 silverado so ???

did I run some wires wrong or?

what kind of scanner? most code readers I've used don't work while the truck is running. Scanguages and such are a bit different.
