1971 Crew Cab build
4 Attachment(s)
I thought I would start a build thread to help keep track of what all I've done and need to get done on this truck. So far its got a new front clip, blasted and primed. Fixed the roof skin by pie cutting and some shrinking back into place. Corrected the bed so when it was laid out nothing would rub. Installed new brake lines, shocks, bump mounts, gauge cluster, glove box, dash pad. Right now I'm in the blocking stage. Needs one more blocking down to have a final coat of suede put on it then I will finish up the glass on the rear doors rear window and install the new chrome bumper and polished trim pieces on the grill and fender badges. I have had the seats done and will throw a pic of them on, I'm stoked about how they turned out! I'm still trying to decide on what kind of bed floor I will put in it ply wood or boards like it would have been from the factory? The fender I attached is what color combo I'm leaning towards. I am building this crew to sell. Not for sale yet but would like opinions on it to try to make it more appealing to sale.
Thanks! |

Re: 1971 Crew Cab build
Does the drivers rear door open or is it a 3 door? Sure, you don't want to sell it yet??

Re: 1971 Crew Cab build
Cool truck!
Are you planning on filling the rear marker lights in the bedsides? This thing would look cool in a suede red with all the '67-68 side mouldings! I'm like the others,... I would like to own it also! |

Thanks for all the complements guys
70CST, I'm southwest of Wichita about twenty minutes. A few hours away from you man. Lolife99, I cut the patches out the other day just haven't welded them up! I saw that in the pics too and realized I had forgot all about them.. I have thought about suede red also and I have almost all the side moldings other than the few extra pieces i'd need to add on for the extended cab. Like I told Rochlow, money talks! Its in the project stage now but if anyone is interested shoot me a PM. Quote:
