On it's way

My 63 Burb is scheduled to be picked up Monday in Wenatchee, WA. and scheduled to be here 6/25. Scheduled being the key word at this point. I'm getting stoked!

The Burb was picked up Tuesday and then sat at the terminal until today. Website says it's now in Idaho. Finally some progress.

Well now it's in Linden, NJ. I sure hope no one puts it in a container and ships it off to...

Cool

Is the condition of the Burb as you understood it to be?

Re: On it's way

EEEhhhh, kinda. Fuel system is definetely worse, as in they used a 2 gallon plastic cooking oil can to run the motor. Jug bailing wire strapped to the dash. They totally forgot to disclose that little issue. The brakes were supposed to be pump-up able. By the time it got here no brakes at all and there may be issues with the e-brake.

The MC is old skool, you need a wrench to open it, so I didn't check but I bet all the fluid is now gone. Brakes are going to be swapped out asap anyways.

The motor turned over easy enough and sounds OK. The body is what I expected. Ohhh and I got a bunch of free old wasp nests.

If the fuel tank is not salvageable, a '69-'72 Blazer tank is basically a direct swap. Although it does not have the cutout for the spare tire.

Re: On it's way

Cap'n you are a wealth of knowledge and I sure appreciate it. This burb doesn't have a 3rd seat but it does have a spare tire holder at the rear right corner inside the burb. Reminds me, kinda, of the spare holder on the stepsides with the indented fender well.

I'll get more pics up in the morning and I'll include that.

I thought these Burbs had the spare tire under the bed like most of the trucks do.

Re: On it's way

I do have a line on a new tank here, I have to find out how bad the current tank is. It could be something simple like a bad rubber hose or I might have to go with a new tank, hard line and rubber.
