magnetic pulse distributor
 

I recently replaced my distributor cap and 2 different auto shops cameup with the wrong one. I told them it didn't have points and we finally found the right one. Then I read in the shop manual that there were two different dist in 66.
Does any one else have one of these? Is it like an HEI? Are there any advantages or disadvatages compared to HEI? Just curious.
