maybe thinking of going 22x8.5 in the front and 22x10 in the rear, does anybody have this out there with the 4-1/2 and 6 static drop ? any issues ?

There are some good examples of both static and dropped trucks in this 22's thread, many running the same specs as what you're asking about:

Yes, it's a basic 4/6 drop with ECE components. It's 'everyday' practical but lowered enough to drive 'spiritedly'

Appreciate the compliments. :) As for the wheel specs, they're Boyd's Spectrums - 22x8.5 front/22x10 rear.
As for rubbing, nope, none at all except for the front on extreme dips in the road. It has to be a fully compressed hit for it to touch, though.

He looks alot lower than we are?

Is it bagged or static?

If static I'm guessing a solid 5.5/7.5+

truck looks great but I wouldn't want to drive it much on those tires;)

the only reason iam considering 22's is because someone already made me an offer on mine so it wont be much to upgrade iam just trying to figure out specs for backspace and such first cause if i get it wrong it will be a costly mistake plus i want the deepest lip possible without cutting into the truck. however if he backs out, ill keep you in mind :)

I have a black GMC begging for them. .. but I have tires already. I will be buying something around the end of the month so, just waiting on the $ at this point.

If you want to PM that's cool, or .. just let me know if they're up for grabs.

Their trucks are probably at their shop most of the time. If I were you, I'd just make a trip over there to get some ideas.

Think so?

looks like it tucks way more than we do with our 4.5/6.5

thank you, to me five stars never go out of style they just get better. if i remember right 22's all the way around but had very thin tires, there were so many trucks at that show it was hard to just pay attention to one truck. i just got off the phone with a buddy that is working on a project and he is gonna let me borrow his front 22's tonight to test fit, ill post pictures this evening. come on 5 o'clock

OR..

Let me throw you a curve ball.

Use the $$ difference you were going to spend from switching from 20s to 22s and get bags. :ito:

ok guys here are my buddy's 22's on my truck with 4-1/2 drop up front. it did raise it of course but i dont see 22's on my truck because it has to come down again, so iam thinking bags instead with my wheels and the wife agreed, so i think iam not going that route just glad i have good friends to help me not make a $ mistake. ok the more i look at in pictures what do you guys think ?

What I like about our trucks is..they look good with 15's or 22's. You cant say that about all trucks :metal:
