Having a bumper chromed is not likely to be comparable in price to buying a new one already chromed. When I was searching for chrome shops to do my bumper, they wanted blood in addition to wads of cash.

A new bumper would definetly be cheaper.

you could probably buy new bumpers front and rear for both your 72's for the price of chrome plating just 1 bumper

Trust me on this one. I can sell you two new bumpers with shipping and will probably be cheaper than having one chromed. If you chrome shops are like the one around here. Also your side markers are on there way. Thanks for the order. Tim

If the PRICE IS COMPARABLE.... Then they are probably cutting corners. Most QUALITY crome shops want an arm and a leg - Just a leg if it's a perfect part to begin with! ;)
I'd save the painted ones for another project or sell them and I'd buy the new crome bumpers. Just my two cents. :)

I would buy new bumpers, the come with a warranty against rust and chrome going bad.

Well... either the guys at the paint shop are using this to "chrome" with, or they're using it with a paper bag...
